New York underground meets Amsterdam jazz

Renske is a jazz-singer, songwriter and producer. She wrote and produced her own debut album, ‘Waiting to be Told’, a mix of pop, jazz, and singer-songwriter music.

Job Swap
The Job Swap is a part of the NY400 festivities, celebrating 400 years of friendship between Amsterdam and New York. For the job swappers it is a chance to learn about their own profession in an another culture, a chance to make contacts and to exchange knowledge. The Dutch Job Swappers will spend September 6-13 in New York. On 13 September all Job Swappers travel together to Amsterdam, to continue the exchange.

Renske Taminiau and Leah Siegel in Paradiso
On Wednesday 16 September Renske Taminiau and Leah Siegel (a singer-songwriter from Brooklyn, New York) will perform in "poptemple" Paradiso in Amsterdam. Leah and Renske will record and perform a song together inspired by their Job Swap experience. Together with the other Job Swap participants they will blog their experiences on www.jobswap.org. In New York Renske and Leah will perform in the Living Room, the stage for young singer-songwriters (the stage where the career of for example Norah Jones took of). 

Job Swap is a project by the Henry Hudson 400 Foundation in cooperation with BKB, and is sponsord by NY400, an initiative of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to celebrate 400 years of enduring friendship between the Netherlands and the United States.
